Message from the President
Greetings:
Welcome to Clarion County Community Bank. As I take time to reflect, I think back to 2002 when opening a new bank was an idea of our Chairman, Bill Hager. After months of work the idea became a reality with regulatory approval. In 2003 we began to assemble a management team and staff, and in January 2004 we opened the new Bank. In our 20 years we have increased our initial footprint of Clarion and New Bethlehem (2004) by opening branches in Rimersburg (2008), Franklin (2017), and most recently in Erie (2023). The Erie office operates under the Flagship Community Bank banner. We now employ 48 individuals and have continually offered more products and services to better serve our communities and customers.
For those shareholders, customers, directors, management and employees who have been with us since the beginning, I wholeheartedly thank you. For those of you who have come to us along the way, I also thank you for giving us the opportunity to earn your business.
I want to take this time to announce that after 40 years in the banking industry and a 22-year involvement with Clarion County Community Bank, I will be retiring from my positions of President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Financial Officer. It has been a privilege to be a part of forming the Bank and watching it grow from a start-up institution in 2004 to our current Bank of five branches and $232 million in assets. I will be continuing with the Bank as a member of the Board of Directors. I have been blessed to have a strong senior management team, which will remain in place.
The Board has hired Mr. Travis Heiser as the new President and Chief Executive Officer. Travis has 25 years in the financial industry, most recently holding the position of Chief Executive Officer at a financial institution in southwestern New York for nearly 21 years. Our customers will see the same great community banking service they have become accustomed to receiving through the years. Please feel free to reach out to Travis and welcome him to Clarion County Community Bank.
Sincerely,
James L Kifer
President / CEO
